ACT is a non-partisan, volunteer alliance of individuals and organizations urging dependable access to life necessities and amenities via sustainable mobility for all. We see robust public transit as vital to opportunity, economic and social justice, and a livable world. We invite endorsement and advocacy by citizens and organizations seeking a better Alabama for all!

ACT’s CONTINUING GOAL: Win a first-ever appropriation to the Alabama Public Transit Trust Fund. Alabama is the ONLY state investing NO state funds in public transit! The 2018 Legislature took a step forward with Act 161, creating the Alabama Public Transit Trust Fund. However, the Legislature has never allocated to the Fund. Gaining a first-ever state investment requires active grassroots legislative advocacy by individuals and groups statewide.
