Tag fee SB11 pre-filed for 2025 

 

Great news: Our new public transit funding bill has been prefiled for the 2025 Legislature! Like 2024's SB91, SB11 proposes an annual $5/vehicle tag fee, which would generate more than $25 million each year for the Alabama Public Transit Trust Fund. The bill includes an "opt-out" provision for localities who do not wish to participate. To see the new bill and other information resources, click on Resources at left.
